All four seasons at Buttermilk Falls Inn + Spa have their attractions. However, there is something particularly special about spring with the sense of growth, renewal and new life generated by warmer temperatures, longer hours of daylight, blossoming flowers and the birth of baby animals. We’ve already told you about the recent debut of the newest additions to our llama population. Now we’re going to show you what spring brings to Buttermilk via a captivating high definition video (see link below).
Before you click on the link, we want to share a little bit about how this extraordinary footage was shot. It’s the work of Buttermilk fan Jerry Wagreich of Prestigious Entertainment®, who used an unmanned aircraft called a “Quadcopter” in honor of its four props, with a stabilized onboard gimbal mounted camera. It’s a one-of-a-kind aircraft by Unmanned Aerial Works – only about 18 inches long – employing state-of-the- art technology designed by Jerry to capture shots that would otherwise require a manned helicopter and / or the use of dollies and cranes, which are expensive and require large crews. Shooting from Jerry’s aircraft is considerably more cost effective (so much so, there’s really no comparison to the $20,000 to $30,000 a day cost of a copter!), needs only two people to operate and is battery powered, therefore more eco-friendly than gas powered helicopters.
Plus, it can get shots a helicopter cannot get because the craft can fly lower and get into tight spaces (even indoors). You’ll get a sense of these advantages when you watch the video.
